A Musical Welcome to the Winter Solstice at Old York Cellars, Ringoes NJ
Friday, December 22 marks the winter solstice…the day the sun’s direct rays cross the Tropic of Capricorn, resulting in the shortest day of the year for us folks in NJ. Good news is the next day, they reverse course and begin their slow return trip northward and the number of daylight minutes starts to increase again. Joy abounds! I’ll be spending the occasion under the vineyards’ heated tent with a guitar ’round my neck, making music for the guests of beautiful Old York Cellars (80 Old York Rd., Ringoes NJ) It being just a few days before Christmas and all, I’ll be sure to mix in some seasonal favorites and no doubt a few you’ve never heard before.
