Beatniks & Musicians “Make the Rent” Night at the Starving Artist Cafe, Stockton NJ

On Wednesday evening, March 26, Chef “Tod the Mod” & the Starving Artist Cafe (18 Bridge St., Stockton NJ) will be hosting a “Make the Rent” party, featuring a bunch of local musicians, poets, & artists…This “Make the Rent” party is a throwback to a tradition among Harlem nightclubs in the 20s & 30s, when they needed to generate income during the slower winter months. $10 bucks gets you in the door. Once you’re in, enjoy 4 hours of entertainment by us local creative-types…expect an evening with a Beatnik, Bohemian flavor…with a generous splash of Vaudeville and 2 scoops of Hootenanny.  While all that’s happening onstage, Tod, Becky, & Kate will be cooking up and serving fabulous chow.
