Hometown Homecoming…Bill Plays the Lebanon Pub
Lebanon, NJ is my hometown, the place where I experienced so many of my life’s “firsts”. This one’s taken the 50 years since my first garage band formed near here, but on Thursday, May 8, I’ll finally be playing my first ever truly “hometown gig” at the Lebanon Pub – 69 Main St., Lebanon. Back when it was the old Lebanon Hotel, I had my first legal beer under the hammered tin ceiling that still hangs over the bar.
Since its days as a stagecoach stop, the building has had many owners and names, but it still retains vestiges of its former selves, especially in the original part of the bar. For me, walking in here is like walking back in time. (Hopefully, my playing has improved a bit since the days when I could get a 7-ounce glass of Schaefer for a quarter)
C’mon out for some really terrific food and cocktails while I serve up an eclectic mix of undercovered covers, starting at 6:30 on Thursday, May 8 at the Lebanon Pub, 69 Main St. in my hometown of Lebanon, NJ. (I’ll be playing the patio again on June 12 & July 31)
